Cultivating Future Leaders: Indigenous High School Students Expand Their Global Perspectives
To cultivate young indigenous talents with a strong sense of cultural identity, social awareness, and a global perspective, the K-12 Education Administration of the Ministry of Education launched the Senior High School Indigenous Students Leadership Cultivation Camp, aiming to develop the next generation of indigenous leaders. In the 2025-2026 academic year, five training camps were held across three levels—beginner, intermediate, and advanced—welcoming a total of 236 student participants. Through tribal visits, self-exploration, cultural discussions, and team projects, students gained a deeper understanding of their cultural heritage, developed leadership skills rooted in their cultural identity, and put their learning into action through services back at their schools.
