K-12 Education Administration Continues to Promote International Education: Exchange and Cooperation with Japan's Six Tohoku Prefectures
To strengthen the implementation of international education programs in primary and secondary schools, the Ministry of Education injects NT$248 million annually and has established the Taiwan Primary and Secondary School International Educational Exchange Alliance. The Alliance is overseen by its Director and Deputy Director, together with eleven regional offices to actively plan and coordinate multiple international educational exchanges for primary and secondary schools nationwide. Furthermore, at the end of 2025, the Alliance's Region 1 Office (located at Taipei Municipal Daan Vocational High School) collaborated with the Tohoku Tourism Promotion Organization to host the "Educational Travel and Exchange Information Session for the Six Tohoku Prefectures of Japan." Representatives from senior high, vocational, junior high, and elementary schools in Taipei City were invited to attend. Through this in-person exchange, the event aimed to enhance Taiwanese schools' understanding of educational travel and exchange resources in Japan's Tohoku region.
