Maker & Tech Center Teachers Visit Japan: Inspiring New Horizons in Tech Education
To advance the professional and practical knowledge of teachers at Taiwan's "Maker & Tech Centers," the K-12 Education Administration, Ministry of Education, sponsored the first-ever international study tour for educators in this field. Planned by National Kaohsiung Normal University and National Taiwan Normal University, the tour led 22 representatives from Maker & Tech Centers to Osaka, Nara, Hyogo, Kyoto, and Nagoya. The delegation engaged in educational visits and academic exchanges with three schools—Tawaramoto Junior High School, Hyogo University of Teacher Education, and Doshisha Junior High School—and observed the 2025 Osaka World Expo and the TOYOTA Commemorative Museum of Industry and Technology to gain an in-depth understanding of the current state of STEAM and technology education in Japan.
