Bringing Radio Anchors to Campuses: K-12 Education Administration Teams Up with ICRT to Help Students Speak English with Confidence
To enhance students' English listening and speaking skills, the K-12 Education Administration, Ministry of Education, has partnered with ICRT since the 2019 academic year to produce the English news program, News LunchBox. The program utilizes everyday content to guide students in naturally listening to and speaking English on campus. To date, the program has released over 2,500 episodes and accumulated more than 3 million clicks. Together with the ICRT Anchors' Tour, radio anchors are brought directly into schools to interact face-to-face with students. As of the first semester of the 2025 academic year, the initiative has reached 20 counties and cities across Taiwan, hosting 67 events and accompanying children as they transform from shy to confident and bravely speak English.
