Team Taiwan delivered an outstanding performance at the 58th International Chemistry Olympiad 2026, hosted by Uzbekistan, with the good news arriving on July 18th (local time). Among 363 participating students from 92 countries, the four students representing Taiwan won an impressive total of 3 gold and 1 silver medals, ranking 3rd internationally (based on the gold medal count). The three gold medalists are Fang, Yi-Chen from Taipei Municipal Chien Kuo High School, Chang, Chen-Ruei from Kaohsiung Municipal Kaohsiung Senior High School, and Fan, Yi-Yang from Taichung Municipal Taichung First Senior High School. The silver medalist is Cheng, Bing-Hao from the National Experimental High School at Hsinchu Science Park. Their overall performance was stellar.
