Sending Lunar New Year Greetings to A Sister School: Cultural Exchange Broadens Students' International Perspectives
To enhance English proficiency and international competitiveness, the K-12 Education Administration, Ministry of Education, commissioned National Chung Cheng University to implement the "Subsidies for Public Elementary and Junior High Schools' Reciprocal Sister School Partnerships." In 2024, 173 schools received funding to establish Memorandums of Understanding (MOUs) or sister school alliances with 64 public elementary and junior high schools in countries where English is an official or common language. Through online cultural exchanges, collaborative teaching, and flexible learning courses, these partnerships promote international understanding. These programs aim to establish partnerships with 340 schools by 2030, enhancing students' awareness of diverse cultures.
