Division of Education for Indigenous Peoples and Special Education

Duties of the Division of Education for Indigenous Peoples and Special Education include:

  1. Supervision and coordination of municipal, county, and city governments in their management of education for indigenous peoples and ethnic minorities and special education at senior high school level and below.

  2. Policy planning and revision of relevant laws and regulations that govern education for indigenous peoples and ethnic minorities and special education at senior high school level and below.

  3. Provision of funds and supervision of fund-utilization for education for indigenous peoples and ethnic minorities and special education at senior high school level and below.

  4. Planning, promotion, and supervision of the curriculum, pedagogy, research, and experiments for education for indigenous peoples and ethnic minorities and special education at senior high school level and below.

  5. Planning, promotion, and supervision of the financial assistance, subsidies, and scholarships for education for indigenous peoples and ethnic minorities and special education at senior high school level and below.

  6. Supervision and management of administrative matters of special education at senior high school level and below.

  7. Planning, promotion, and supervision of the identification, placement, and consultation for students with special needs at senior high school level and below.

  8. Planning, promotion, and supervision of the establishment of barrier-free campuses, special education teaching facilities, teaching aids, and support systems at senior high school level and below.

  9. Other matters pertaining to education for indigenous peoples and ethnic minorities and special education at senior high school level and below.
