President Recognizes the Delegation's Exceptional Performance in 2024 International Mathematics and Science Olympiads
In 2024, Taiwan achieved outstanding results at the International Olympiad competitions, winning a total of 22 gold medals, 14 silver medals, 10 bronze medals, and 3 honorable mentions. On January 9, 2025, the Ministry of Education (MOE) held the 2024 International Mathematics and Science Olympiads Award Ceremony at the National Taiwan Normal University. MOE Chief Secretary Lin Po-Chiao presented awards to the winning students and recognized the hard work of the advisors and teaching assistants who guided them. Afterward, President Lai Ching-te received representatives of the award-winning students and their advisors at the Presidential Office. In addition to thanking them for their efforts and achievements in science education, the president encouraged the participating students to continue developing their expertise and to apply the scientific spirit of analytical research to create even more impressive results for themselves and Taiwan.
