Taiwan Wins 3 Gold and 1 Silver at the 17th International Earth Science Olympiad 2024
Team Taiwan performed outstandingly at the 17th International Earth Science Olympiad (IESO) 2024, with the exciting news arriving on August 16th. Among 117 students from 31 countries, Taiwan secured 3 gold medals and 1 silver medal, ranking 2nd internationally (based on the total number of gold medals won). For individual category, among the four students representing Taiwan, the three gold medalists were He, Cheng-Hsien from National Changhua Senior High School (ranked 2nd globally), Lin, Yi-Ting from National Experimental High School at Hsinchu Science Park (ranked 3rd globally), and Lin, Yang-Hong from Taichung Municipal Taichung First Senior High School (ranked 12th globally). The silver medalist was Tsou, Meng-Hsi from Taichung Municipal Taichung First Senior High School (ranked 24th globally). The team's overall performance was exceptional.
