Announcement of the 2014 President Educational Award Winners

The Ministry of Education announced the 56 winners of its 2014 President Educational Award on May 8th. According to the MOE, a total number of 386 students were recommended by schools and civil associations around the country to the selection committee, which was comprised by members from educational administrations at all levels. The committee members evaluated these candidates based on various stipulated criteria to select a total of 166 finalists, who were then interviewed by 52 voting members. A selection conference was held by the voting members before they submitted the list of the final winners to the President Educational Award committee. The 56 winners included 8 winners from colleges or universities, 12 from senior high schools or vocational high schools, 18 from junior high schools, and 18 from elementary schools. ......
