To provide preschools with a safer and high-quality learning environment, the K-12 Education Administration, Ministry of Education formulated the Guidelines on Subsidies for the Special Municipality and City or County Governments to Enhance and Improve Preschool Teaching Environment Facilities and Equipment, to subsidize public preschools for the enhancement of, and improvement to their teaching environment facilities and equipment.  In 2021, a total of 769 public preschools were subsidized. The administration will continue to accept applications from preschools in 2022.
