Design Exchange Brings Together Cross-disciplinary Talents to Create New Looks for Textbooks
To enhance students' interest in learning through high-quality textbook design, the K-12 Education Administration, Ministry of Education, has commissioned the University of Taipei to implement the “Aesthetic Textbook Research Project” since 2018. In collaboration with the Aestheticell Association, the "Textbook Design On-site Exchange Meetings" were held to facilitate discussions between textbook publishing companies and design professionals. Each meeting has attracted over 200 participants, including designers, illustrators, photographers, and publishing editors. The discussions focus on topics such as cover design, content arrangement, illustrations, and photographs, exploring ways to improve overall reading fluency and functionality, refine textbook design logic and quality, enhance the aesthetics of textbooks, and stimulate children's learning motivation and creativity.
