Boundary-Free Love Draws Overseas Chinese Students to Fly to the Vast Sky

In response to the Executive Yuan policy that aims to “enhance the international connectivity of talents to improve Taiwan's international competitiveness” and to realize the objective of increasing overseas Chinese student enrollment in Taiwan’s senior high schools, K-12 Education Administration, Ministry of Education, initiated the schools into the promotion of all the counseling practices and the creation of a learning environment all the better for overseas Chinese students with the hope to attract more talented overseas Chinese students to Taiwan for their next level of education.
The private Shin Rong Senior High School in Tainan City, with students up to 1,300 and a remarkable performance in the education of ethics, intellect, physique, social skills, and aesthetics, created a learning environment of quality. The school especially arranged Chinese language courses and specialist teachers for overseas Chinese students, though the student number is small. One of the students, Wu Yi-rou, from Thailand, won the champion of the Rotary International 3470 district Chinese speech contest this year, beating 29 contestants from different countries.
