Taiwan has achieved outstanding results at the 56th International Chemistry Olympiad 2024, hosted by the Kingdom of Saudi Arabia. On July 29 (local time), news of our success reached home. Among 327 students from 90 countries, Taiwan secured two gold and two silver medals, ranking 5th internationally based on the gold medal count. The two gold medalists are Ke Yen-Hung and Lu Chia-Wei from National Tainan First Senior High School, ranked 7th and 16th individually; the two silver medalists are Chen Chun-Tse from Taichung Municipal Taichung First Senior High School, ranked 37th, and Lin Chun-Tzu from Taipei Municipal Jianguo High School, ranked 41st. They all demonstrate outstanding performance.
