Announced Date:2021-01-20
Announced Unit:Division of Student Affairs and School Security

In response to the spirit of the United Nations Convention on the Rights of the Child, our country is committed to establishing and improving the protection for children and youths. In addition to formulating the Implementation Act of the Convention on the Rights of the Child, it has set up the Executive Yuan's Child and Youth Welfare and Rights Promotion Group to coordinate relevant measures. In 2016, our country submitted a national report for the first time, which, in 2017, went through an international review, and was highly recognized by members of the international review committee. In order to assist schools in protecting children’s and youths’ rights, the Ministry of Education published the “Handbook for the Convention on the Rights of the Child for Educators”, which has combined theory and practice, with the aim of aligning Taiwan's children's and youths’ rights with international standards while striving to make progress.
