The Ministry of Education is deeply concerned by Kuang Fu High School’s anniversary activity and has taken immediate action

The mass media has reported and released photos of students of Kuang-Fu Senior High School, a private school in Hsinchu, dressed as World War II Nazi German soldiers and carrying swastika banners when they attended social club activities held on December 23. The Ministry of Education is shocked by and extremely regretful about this. It clearly indicates that the school did not have any mechanism in place to review these activities at the planning stage, and that the students had not been given a deep understanding of major historical events and their international significance.
