The Number of Applicants for 2016 Junior High School Comprehensive Entrance Exam

The application for 2016 Junior High School Comprehensive Entrance Exam has closed on March 12. National Testing Association (Tsoying Senior High School of Kaohsiung City) calculated that the total number of applicants is 275,488. They are to be tested in 18 domestic test centers for students studying in Taiwan and one mainland China test center for students studying in Mainland China. Among which, 273,770 are collective applicants and 1,718 are individual applicants. In terms of the number of applicants, the top three test centers are: New Taipei, which has 42,843 applicants; Taichung-Nantou, which has 42,486 applicants; and Kaohsiung, which has 31,033 applicants.
