Multiple Strategies to Improve English Mastery Strengthening of Bilingual Education

The K-12 Education Administration, Ministry of Education, has implemented the Senior High School English Enhancement Program to consolidate pedagogical resources as well as to deploy multiple strategies for English teaching and learning at the senior high school level. K12EA disburses funding to more than a hundred senior high schools every school year to facilitate the implementation of the Senior High School English Enhancement Program. Schools that receive funding are to offer two of the following types of activities: English clubs and societies, English language competitions, or English language camps. The activities are targeted at the students enrolled in these schools, but some schools have also opened up the programs to students from other schools in the community and carried out inter-school exchanges.
